On Saturday, August 17, 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency of Kuantan Singingi Regency celebrated a historic moment for the Indonesian nation by holding a ceremony to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence with the theme "New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia," New Archipelago is a monumental step in the history of this nation.
The August 17 commemoration ceremony at the BPS Kuantan Singingi Regency began at exactly 07.00 am in the yard of the BPS Kuantan Singingi Regency office. With a burning spirit of nationalism, the event took place solemnly and was attended by all employees. The participants wore traditional regional clothing, which added depth to the meaning of the celebration.
The Head of BPS Kuansing, Ir. Rozalinda ME, who acted as the ceremony instructor, also read the message of the Acting Head of BPS RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti. In her message, it was conveyed that the role of BPS is very important in supporting the vision of New Archipelago, as said by Ir. Soekarno, "A nation that does not believe in its own strength cannot be independent". Confidence to realize the New Archipelago and Indonesia's progress depends on robust and reliable data. Quality data is the main foundation for effective and targeted policies.
On this occasion, the awarding of certificates for employees of the Satyalancana Karya Satya Honorary Award and the awarding of certificates for the best employees from January to July 2024 were also carried out.
