Supervision of Enumeration of Wholesale Price Survey (SHPB)

The Wholesale Price Survey (SHPB) is one of the surveys conducted by the BPS of Kuanstan Singingi Regency. This survey aims to obtain price data at the distributor/wholesale price level, so that price developments between times are known which are used to compile the Wholesale Price Index (IHPB).

The purpose of calculating the IHPB figure is as a deflator in calculating Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) by BPS and is also used by Bank Indonesia (BI) as one of the indicators in economic policy analysis. In addition, the private sector also uses this IHPB figure to calculate project price escalation.

In every survey conducted by BPS, the role of the Supervisor is very crucial. Supervision of the survey by BPS officers is carried out to ensure that the data collection process runs according to the established SOP. On the other hand, supervision is carried out to ensure smoothness in the field so that data collection can be carried out completely, its consistency is maintained and the data produced is of high quality.
