Enhancing Data Quality: PODES 2025 Field Officers Attend In-Person Training in Kuantan Singingi

Kuantan Singingi, May 22, 2025 — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Kuantan Singingi Regency has once again organized an in-person training session for the 2025 Village Potential Statistics (PODES) enumeration. The training took place at Angela Hotel in Taluk Kuantan on May 22, 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of field officers in collecting comprehensive data on the potential of every village and urban neighborhood across Indonesia.

Field data collection for PODES 2025 is scheduled to take place from June 1 to June 30, 2025. As a preparatory step, all field officers first underwent self-paced and online training before participating in a one-day in-person session for final briefing and practical reinforcement.

A total of 23 Field Interviewers (PCL) and 8 Field Supervisors (PML) took part in the training, divided into two classes and guided by two Regional Instructors (Inda). Participants received comprehensive materials covering the basic concepts of PODES, interview techniques, and the use of the FASIH application (a digital platform for data entry). The training aimed to ensure all field officers share a consistent understanding of the concepts and definitions to be applied during fieldwork.

The event was also attended by the Head of BPS Kuantan Singingi, Mrs. Ir. Rozalinda, M.E., who personally delivered guidance and motivation to the trainees. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of data quality to ensure the results accurately reflect the actual conditions in each village and urban neighborhood.

Accurate, up-to-date, and widely usable data is crucial for supporting government planning and development evaluation. BPS Kuantan Singingi is strongly committed to the success of the 2025 PODES enumeration to ensure the availability of high-quality statistical data that can benefit all stakeholders.
