Survey Enumerator Briefing for VPEK and VPBD 2025: Advancing Quality Data

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Distribution Statistics Team of BPS Kuantan Singingi Regency held an online briefing session via Zoom for enumerators of the 2025 Transportation Support Services Survey (VPEK)—covering warehousing, freight forwarding, and courier services—and the 2025 Domestic Trade Survey (VPBD).

The session was officially opened by the Head of BPS Kuantan Singingi Regency, Mrs. Ir. Rozalinda, M.E., who emphasized the strategic importance of the VPBD 2025. She highlighted that the survey plays a key role in measuring indicators of the national development priorities set forth in the 2025–2029 Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJM), particularly in boosting domestic trade, interregional commerce, exports, and participation in global value chains. She reaffirmed BPS’s commitment to delivering reliable and official statistics to support domestic trade development.

Regarding the VPEK 2025, she pointed out the survey's significance in contributing data for the compilation of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), especially within the warehousing and transportation support service subsectors.

The first technical session was led by Regional Instructor (INDA) Aprianto Manurung, A.Md.Stat., who thoroughly explained the background, objectives, expected outputs, and instructions for using the VPEK CAPI application.

Following that, INDA Arni Juwita Novisda, S.ST., delivered a comprehensive presentation on the VPBD survey, detailing its methodology, e-form completion procedures, and the use of the FASIH Mobile application for CAPI-based data collection.

Through this briefing, enumerators are expected to gain a solid understanding of the survey procedures, foster good relationships with respondents, and carry out their tasks professionally and responsibly to produce high-quality and trustworthy data.
