Sectoral Statistics Guidance by BPS Kuantan Singingi Regency to the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Food Security

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Kuantan Singingi Regency held a sectoral statistics guidance event involving the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Food Security of Kuantan Singingi Regency. The aim of this activity was to enhance understanding and capacity in managing statistical data, particularly in the agricultural and food security sectors. During the session, BPS emphasized the importance of metadata in producing accurate and reliable statistics, as well as how proper data management can support the planning and evaluation of more effective development programs.

Furthermore, BPS provided material on statistical recommendations focusing on the systematic and standardized processing and presentation of data. This guidance serves as a strategic step to strengthen collaboration between BPS and the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Food Security in managing high-quality sectoral data. It is hoped that this collaboration will enhance coordination and synergy in preparing data that supports more targeted policies, while accelerating the achievement of better food security in Kuantan Singingi Regency.
