KSA Survey and Tiling Training

BPS Kuantan Singingi Regency again held training for officers in the Rice and Corn Sample Area Framework Survey (KSA) and Rice and Secondary Crops Survey activities on Thursday, November 21, 2024. The event was opened by the Head of BPS Kuantan Singingi Regency, Ir. Rozalinda, M.E. He conveyed the importance of the availability of quality agricultural statistics as an evidence-based policy for strategic policies for national agricultural development in accordance with the inaugural speech of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.

This training involved 3 organic employees, who will later serve as field supervisors, and 8 BPS partners, who will later serve as field data collectors. This activity also presented a trial of the latest KSA observation application, which is a combination of the rice KSA application and the previously existing corn KSA application. This application began to be used as a trial in observations in November and began to be fully used in 2025. With this training and new application, it is hoped that the agricultural statistical data produced will be of high quality and on target in accordance with standardized methods.
