BPS Kuantan Singingi Trials KSApro Application for Corn KSA Survey

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Kuantan Singingi Regency conducted another Area Sample Frame (KSA) Survey at the end of January 2025. This survey aims to estimate the harvested area of rice and corn crops, which is crucial for food security. During this activity, BPS trialed a new application, KSApro, which is expected to enhance efficiency and accuracy in field observations.

From January 25 to 31, BPS officers not only used the standard application but also relied on KSApro to record data and monitor fields at various stages of growth. Strict supervision was carried out by Survey Supervisors (PMS) to ensure the smooth and successful use of the new application. If any issues arose, officers and supervisors could immediately discuss and find solutions.

The results of this survey are very important, as they provide accurate information on estimated harvests for the coming months, which serves as the foundation for the government to formulate national food policy programs. With precise data, it is hoped that Indonesia’s food security can be well-maintained.
